An exciting opportunity has arisen in the HM Coroner?s Office. Working in a friendly and fast paced administration team, you will be supporting the HM Senior Coroner and HM Assistant Coroners, the Head of Service and Practice Manager in delivering a responsive, professional and robust service.? The role involves taking reports and investigating the causes of death and conveying inquests in accordance with the Coroners and Justice Act 2009.?????????????? ? ?? *Essential Requirements:*
* Proven successful office experience in a high pressured and sensitive environment.? Able to produce neat, clear and accurate work and have good numeracy skills.
* Ability to make decisions without supervision and relying on judgement and technical skills and knowledge. Confident in making decision which have an effect directly on customers and colleagues and may have direct legal implications.
* Ability to be organised and meet deadlines, prioritising work and managing a caseload.
* Ability to explain complex procedures and regulations to customers and stakeholders of Nottingham City Council in a clear and concise manner personally, verbally or by correspondence, whilst being aware of the sometimes difficult and distressing nature of the information.
? ? ?? The role will require high resilience as post holder will be subjected to information that may be detailed and graphic of circumstances relating to death. Post holder is expected to be smartly dressed, suitable for a court environment.????????????????????? ? ? Interviews will take place on Thursday 13th May or Friday 14th May 2021.
