The Born Alive Infant Protection Act that was passed in 2002 stated that “every infant member of the species Homo sapiens who is born alive at any stage of development” is a “person” for all federal law purposes.

However, the 2002 bill did not contain the necessary legal protections to prosecute abortion providers that do not provide adequate care for children born alive during an abortion.

And ever since pro-abortion politicians like Virginia’s governor, Ralph Northam, have begun openly talking about infanticide, it’s clear that we need to pass life-saving protections for born-alive infants.

In fact, voters overwhelmingly want these protections passed.

A poll conducted by McLaughlin & Associates on behalf of SBA List found that 77% of Americans support the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Act.

We, as pro-life Americans, must stand united behind this life-saving legislation.
