Hola a todxs, how is everyone, truly? I often tend to forget to check in with others/myself and this is what we’re here for - each other - so check on your people.

As we come to the end of another exhausting week, I want to speak to you all about how we’re going to win - even if it feels like a distant goal in this uphill war. This hub has 900 members on slack and over 6,000 people on our email list, but it’s the same group of members who has really been showing up and showing out, putting all of their time/energy into their teams, projects, ideas, and so on.

I say this to say bluntly, where are the other members at!? We need y'all more than you might think, this work cannot be left to a small group of people (especially BIPOC) we have to split the load. For white allies, this means we want you to step up and support BIPOC folks! You don’t have to overstep, you can support in a way that still uplifts BIPOC voices. If you have any questions about this please reach out and I’ll explain better.

To get plugged in please just jump in where you feel interested or work on something you are passionate about. We each have to take initiatives and be leaders. We understand burn out and that life gets in the way often or you simply don’t know where to start! However, we have to build the world we want to see. Also, very few of the current active members had any prior experience - we all simply chose to take initiative and step in.
