Hey John,
What a week! Thank you to everyone who came out to the Animal Liberation California Convergence and took part in a historic action! Join us at this week's Meetup: Arrestee Panel to hear some of the bold and compassionate activists that were arrested taking nonviolent direct action during the Convergence. There will be vegan donuts and coffee, don't miss out. Meetups happen every Saturday at 11am at the Berkeley Animal Rights Center for everyone and anyone who cares about making the world a better place!
Here are the other events we have happening this week (all taking place at the Berkeley Animal Rights Center, 2425 Channing Way, unless otherwise noted). Action events are colored in blue and community events are colored in orange -- both are crucial to our movement!
- Saturday, October 5th, 1:00pm: Latinx Vegan Pop-Up - We are so excited to be hosting MONTHLY Vegan Pop-ups!!! Come support local vegan businesses and enjoy delicious food! Everything is vegan! Vendors will be selling conchas, tacos, cookies, hotdogs, lasagna, juices, and boba. You seriously cannot miss this pop-up. I'll see you there!
- Saturday, October 5th, 3:00pm: Fall Potluck at Hens of the Hills - Join us as we enjoy the cozy, autumn weather at Hens of the Hills, a microsanctuary for rescued chickens in the Berkeley Hills. Please wear clothes that you are comfortable with possibly getting a little bit of dirt on, and feel free to bring a favorite dish or beverage to share! RSVP for the address or contact Rachel Arima.
- Sunday, October 6th, 11:30am: October Chapter Meeting: DxE SF Bay Area - Help us shape the direction of the local DxE community.
