John,
14 years ago this weekend, a gunman killed 32 people and injured 17 more at Virginia Tech, the college I attended in my home state. He was armed with two semi-automatic pistols and high-capacity magazines.
Fast forward to this year: On Friday, a gunman armed with semi-automatic rifles shot and killed eight people in Indianapolis, IN. Today, three people were shot and killed in Kenosha, WI, and at least three people are dead after a shooting in Austin, TX. There has never been a more urgent time than now to take action against this deadly epidemic. Enough is enough.
Right now, the U.S. Senate has the power to pass gun safety legislation that will save lives and could help stop the next American tragedy – but we’re going to need a massive outpouring of grassroots support from activists like you to get it done.
That’s why I’m personally asking: Please, John, will you add your name right now and demand that the Senate pass this lifesaving legislation? >>
We cannot wait for another city to be known for its high-profile shooting, we cannot wait for another anniversary date, we cannot wait for more people to die. Kris Brown Brady President
