1992 was named the “Year of the Woman” because the number of women who represented Americans in Congress tripled. Fast forward to 2021 and people across the United States are earning less because of their gender or ethnicity. We won’t stand for it.
No one should be paid less because of their gender identity or their ethnicity, but we know that unfortunately, that’s not the case. March 31st, 2021 was Equal Pay Day, the day where women catch up to the earnings of white men from the previous year. That is unacceptable.
We won’t stop until work is dignified and fairly compensated.
