In 47 states around the country, voting rights are under attack.
Republicans in state legislatures across the country are introducing bills designed to make it harder, and in some cases impossible, for Americans to vote!
It’s because of these sorts of right-wing assaults on our voting rights that I will be reintroducing the John Lewis Voting Rights Act this year to strengthen and protect access to the ballot box and honor the legacy of my dear friend and colleague Rep. John Lewis, who dedicated his life’s work to the fight for voting rights.
This bill would provide protections to voters against the racist and anti-American attempts of GOP legislatures to restrict access to the polls.
Will you join me in carrying on Rep. Lewis’ work by signing on in support of the John Lewis Voting Rights Act? You can add your name below: [[link removed]]

In times like these, inaction is not an option.
At every turn, Republicans are working to implement discriminatory voter ID laws, create convoluted voting qualifications, and install barriers to voting in every way imaginable.
But in the face of injustice thrust upon our democracy, we must do what we can to protect voting rights.
Add your name to show you stand with me in my efforts to get the John Lewis Voting Rights Act passed. The stakes are too high for you to sit this one out: [[link removed]]
