John,
We can’t ignore the climate crisis.
But our path forward must reckon with deep-rooted inequity—a history of stolen land and labor. We can’t forget the decades of neglected infrastructure, offshoring and unfulfilled promises of jobs to come.
Our clean energy policies must learn from the past if we’re going to build an equitable future. We need policies that invest in every community. We need jobs that aren’t just green, but also are good-paying union jobs.
To kick off Earth Week, the Labor Energy Partnership is bringing together leaders to discuss our shared future and the work that needs to be done.
This event will be livestreamed on April 19, 2–4 p.m ET. There are a limited amount of slots, so please RSVP if you are interested in attending.
