John,
The Working Families Party and our members nationwide operate under this core belief: that when working people come together across our differences, we can forge our own future and build a country where everyone can thrive.
In 2020, we proved it by working together to remove Trump from office, elect progressives nationwide, win the runoffs in Georgia, and grow the grassroots power we need to push for and win transformative change.
And in the first few months of 2021, we’re proving it again.
In just the last few weeks, WFP members and state chapters have:
- Mobilized thousands of people for “Recovery Recess” actions to push Democrats in Congress to deliver on the mandate of a full jobs and care agenda.
-
Continued to show up for our communities through the crises of a pandemic, economic injustice, climate change-driven destruction, and systemic police violence and terror.
- Won a number of inspiring electoral victories at the local level — while laying the groundwork to do even more in 2021 and 2022.
We’re building a multiracial party of working people to transform our country. But you know as well as we do that the playing field in this country is tilted against us. The only way we can do this is if we all join together, John.
Will you make a grassroots contribution to WFP today? Every dollar you chip in helps us mobilize voters to elect more leaders who will fight to build a country that cares for ALL of us:

Here’s just a few of our electoral wins in the first few months of 2021:
In St. Louis, WFP-endorsed candidate Tishaura Jones won her race for Mayor last week! She’ll be the first-ever Black woman mayor of the city, and WFP organizers were instrumental in driving thousands of conversations with voters.
In Wisconsin, TEN WFP candidates won their municipal races. Some of the most exciting victories were in school board races, where our pro-public education candidates in Racine, Kenosha, and Middleton beat more well-funded pro-charter candidates.
But we’re not stopping there.
In Ohio, we’re fighting to elect WFP champion Nina Turner as the next member of Congress from Ohio’s 11th Congressional District in a special election this summer. In New York, we’re getting out the vote for a slate of over one hundred WFP champions across the state in June’s primaries. In Pennsylvania, we have a real opportunity to elect Malcolm Kenyatta next year, a champion for working families who would be the first openly LGBTQ+ person of color to serve in the U.S. Senate. And we’ve got even bigger plans in the works…
Unlike some groups, we don’t have corporate donors. We’re counting on YOU to join us in order to do this work. Make a contribution to WFP today to help us recruit, train, and elect more champions all across the country who will put working families first.
In solidarity,
Team WFP
