Today, I’ve spent the day in Hartlepool supporting John Prescott, our candidate for the upcoming by-election.
 
I’m delighted that so many supporters came to join us for a day in the sunshine, it really did feel like a brief return to normality. I want to thank everybody who took the time to come and help, it made a massive difference.
 
We’ve been hearing over and over again today heart-breaking accounts of the challenges that people have faced over the last year. One thing is becoming clear, for the hundreds of thousands of voters across the country who abandoned the old establishment parties in 2019, there is no real appetite to return.
 
They and millions like them are looking for a common-sense alternative. That is what Reform UK is offering. 
 
We are bolder, braver, more optimistic and we actually believe in the British people and their ability to flourish in a post-Brexit world.
 
For that to happen though, we need to do everything we can to ensure that the Government returns all of our freedoms to us and we need to lead the campaign against vaccine passports which are discriminatory and divisive.
