Forest Recreation Ground
After being officially opened by the Lord Mayor of Nottingham at 12 today, Nottingham’s Goose Fair runs at the Forest Recreation Ground until Sunday to thrill and delight city residents and visitors alike.
Visitors to the fair will enjoy more than 500 attractions - from the latest white knuckle rides for thrill seekers to the ever-popular family, children’s and old-time rides. There will also be the chance to sample the traditional Goose Fair mushy peas, along with loads of other tasty fairground treats; candy floss, toffee apples, and gingerbread.
Goose Fair is one of Europe’s largest travelling fairs with a history that dates back more than 700 years. Experience the array of Roller Coasters, Water Rides, Giant Wheel, Bombers, Dodgems, Twists, Waltzers and Miamis familiar to Goose Fair; alongside the traditional funfair attractions Gallopers, Chairs and Cakewalk rides... plus the new Jump Jump ride from the continent.

There are many options to travel to the busy site. Use the journey planner to work out your trip.
For those with mobility issues, Blue Badge event parking at ÂŁ7 per car is available. There is no other public vehicle parking.
Those bringing cars into the city can use the Nottingham City Transport park and ride bus service from Queen’s Drive Park and Ride (NG2 1AR). There are also great tram and bus offers for group travel.

Even Nottingham’s most famous outlaw has decided to come out of hiding for this major event in the city. Robin Hood will be joining the crowds on Saturday and Sunday between 2-5pm to promote the upcoming Robin Hood Pageant. Grab him for a quick Goose Fair selfie!

As you enter through the forest, the sounds and smells of Robin Hood’s encampment will guide you to his merry band of outlaws hiding out. Close by, a royal hunting party, led by the evil Sheriff of Nottingham, is about to snare their biggest prize of all. Will word get out on Robin’s location? Will the Sheriff’s men ride in to challenge his supremacy of the forest? Who will win the hearts of the people? #ChooseYourSide

Karlsruhe Friendship Concert - Celebrating 50 years of friendship between Karlsruhe and Nottingham with guests from the KIT Kammerchor and Philarmonic Orchestra (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology Choir and Orchestra) as part of the 50th Anniversary of the hosted by Carlton Male Voice Choir.

To celebrate Earth Science Week, the British Geological Survey is throwing open its doors to the public for a FREE, fun-filled day of hands-on activities, talks, exhibitions and tours, with a unique opportunity to look behind the scenes with special laboratory and workshop demonstrations.

Take a few bands, some choirs, an orchestra or two, street entertainment galore, food, dancing, fun, people and you have the Hockley Hustle.
Hockley will be full of fantastic music, performers, art, food and for the icing on the cake… the event will be raising money for local charities at the same time.
Following the success of last year’s festival, Young Hustlers, offers Beatboxing workshops; world-renowned graffiti artists, DJ masterclasses, song writing and music production workshops. The Big Fish Little Fish, also return to Nottingham Contemporary for the family rave.

Building on the success of last year’s event, this massive festival will be held not only across the main arena but across two large outdoor areas - the Backstage Beer Garden and the Bolero Square Village will offer bars, stalls and a fantastic programme of live music!
Once again, over a thousand draught real ales will be showcased. This is the largest selection anywhere in the world, covering the widest possible range of beer styles. There will also be a fantastic choice of around 250 different real ciders and perries, from small artisan producers. The craft beer bar will have range of rare key-keg beers, some of which have never been seen in the city before. They all meet the CAMRA definition of real ale. The gin bar also returns. This year has the added attraction of some interesting rums to try.
