To prepare volunteers to effectively support LGBTQ youth in crisis, they undergo a 40-hour virtual training that covers counseling skills, LGBTQ identity, empathy, active listening, and more. Once they graduate, volunteers commit to shifts each month, and participate in ongoing training, course refreshers, and feedback sessions with our staff.
With your help, we continue to recruit and train volunteer crisis counselors to consistently deliver a high quality of care to LGBTQ youth and save young lives every day.
Currently, we’re looking for digital volunteers who are interested in evening and overnight shifts (6PM–3AM PT) as well as those residing in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. If you or someone you know fits this criteria, we encourage you to learn more about our volunteer opportunities and apply today.
