We talk a lot about building a sisterhood to elect women and also the impact their transformative leadership has in communities.

So, check out what these changes look in action👇

'Scranton ordinance would ban controversial conversion therapy for LGBTQ minors - Rothchild proposed ordinance to protect youth from the widely discredited , potentially harmful practice. '

In Republican state legislatures around the country, GOP leaders continue to attack LGBTQ+ rights, targeting kids.

And our alums are standing up — in city councils, state legislatures, and attorneys general offices — to fight back against these attacks.

In Pennsylvania, one of our alums is leading the way to protect minors from conversion “therapy,” which we know is a harmful and ineffective practice.

Councilwoman Rothchild refused to wait for the Republicans in her state to make the first move, and she introduced a city ordinance to target this problem head on.

Our alums are leading the fights against dangerous legislation like this. They continue to bring humanity to politics as they run to make progress and change for millions.

So we want to especially thank you for being a part of this incredible community!

Emerge is a national organization working to recruit, train, and get Democratic women elected across the country, and we are so grateful to have you on our team. Our alums are strong voices for Democratic values — and they are working to bring their values up and down the ballot to fight for working families. They are fighting for critical issues that affect our communities like the environment, accessible and affordable healthcare, social justice and education equity. We need more alums fighting for us across the country.

Email is the best way for us to keep you informed about what’s happening with our work.
