Friend,

After Republicans weaponized the Supreme Court with hyper-partisanship like never before over the past four years, Democrats in the House have introduced legislation to weaken conservatives’ hold and restore balance to the Court.

The Judiciary Act of 2021 would expand the Supreme Court from 9 seats to 13, giving the Biden administration an opportunity to undo the grip conservatives have on our democracy due to their ill-gotten, outsized and disproportional majority on the Court.

It’s time for the Supreme Court to catch up to our country. Join me in support of expanding the Court by adding your name today as a citizen co-sponsor of the Judiciary Act of 2021: [[link removed]]

Here’s what’s at stake with a far-right 6-3 majority on the Supreme Court: tackling climate change, advancing racial justice, enshrining voting rights, protecting a woman’s right to choose, increasing access to affordable health care, and so much more.

And spare me the cries of conservatives all of a sudden concerned with “protecting” the institution. These are the same people who pushed through the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh despite allegations of sexual misconduct and rushed Amy Coney Barrett onto the Court during an ongoing Presidential election when millions of voters had already cast their ballots by mail.

To restore our democracy, we must expand the Court. Will you add your name as a citizen co-sponsor of our bill to add four more seats and restore balance to the Supreme Court? [[link removed]]

Thank you for doing your part.

In solidarity,
