Good afternoon,

It’s springtime here in New Jersey — a great time to reflect on our successes and look at the road ahead. It’s also an opportunity to renew our focus and take stock of what we’ve learned.

We passed another round of COVID-19 relief, and I’m optimistic that, soon enough, we’ll be helping New Jersey families even more by repealing the cap on State and Local Tax (SALT) deductions. I know we can get it done; I’ve fought for these issues for years.

At the same time, we must remain vigilant for the upcoming election fight. The 2022 election is looming closer than ever, and the latest edition of the Cook Political Voting Index showed that my District is still a Republican hotspot.

That’s why the NRCC announced early that I am one of their top targets, and our potential opponents are already gearing up their operations. They’re building their war chests, gaining support from national organizations, and getting their plans figured out. We need to be ready to counter their money and their factually inaccurate rhetoric (which we know is coming).
