Dear Friend,
I’ve known President Clinton and his family for a long time. We first bonded over our mutual love of the arts and a shared belief in putting people first. I consider him not only a leader and an advocate, but also a friend.
After he left the White House, it came as no surprise to me that President Clinton never stopped working to build a better world. In 2001, the Clinton Foundation opened its doors in Harlem with a staff of 14 people and a tireless drive to give more people an opportunity to succeed.
I’ve been a proud supporter of the Clinton Foundation as it has grown so much and helped so many over the last 20 years. Today I’m asking you to join me in supporting this work. Since 2001, the Clinton Foundation has:
- Enabled more than 21 million people in more than 70 countries to gain access to Clinton Health Access Initiative-negotiated prices for HIV/AIDS medicines.
- Improved more than 430 million lives in over 180 countries via Commitments to Action launched through the Clinton Global Initiative.
- Equipped more than 160,000 farmers in Malawi, Rwanda, and Tanzania with training, tools, and increased market access through the Clinton Development Initiative.
And that’s only a fraction of the Foundation’s work.
Will you consider making a first-time contribution today, in honor of the Foundation’s 20th anniversary? Now through April 30 the Clinton family is matching contributions up to $100,000. Please give what you can to double your impact and help even more people in need.
When I think about what I want our world to look like over the next 20 years, I hope it includes more people like my friend President Clinton, his team at the Foundation, and forward-thinking individuals like you. Thank you for being part of this mission.
Sincerely,
Quincy Jones
