Give what you can to our Global Emergency Response Fund today to help refugees in Colombia and other families in crisis zones. | Give to Families in Crisis |

As the Director of Programs in Colombia, I work hand-in-hand with Venezuelan refugees who have come here to escape the devastating impact of their home country’s prolonged political conflict. Every single day, I see how helpful your generosity is to the more than 1.4 million Venezuelans who are starting a new life here in Colombia. And I know how much more we can do with your generous support. Please — give what you can to the Global Emergency Response Fund today and help us reach our critical $80,000 goal by October 7. Every dollar will provide urgent support to families here in Colombia, and in other crisis zones around the world. The Global Emergency Response Fund allows us to respond to emergency situations as soon as they happen, without having to wait days or even weeks to secure the necessary funding. And because we have teams on the ground in more than 40 countries, helping people build secure, stable futures for their families and their communities, we know exactly where the need is greatest and how to distribute resources effectively. We can rush medical care, food assistance and even cash to those who need it, when they need it most. Your support during this Global Emergency Response Fund campaign will help refugees like José, his wife Ana Maria, and their four precious children who fled Venezuela after inflation became so bad they were unable to afford food — even with José working multiple jobs seven days a week.
"I was frustrated because it wasn’t enough," José recalls.
"I was working Monday to Monday and still, it wasn’t enough." Today, José and his family live in Colombia and earn money selling small goods and mobile phone minutes but the income is still not enough. Mercy Corps is helping by distributing emergency cash assistance to Venezuelan refugees, so that families can meet their most urgent needs, including food, medicine and shelter. With the cash José and Ana Maria received from Mercy Corps, they were able to pay for part of the birth of their new baby. "I don’t know how we would have paid for the birth without Mercy Corps," José says. "It was like the money fell from heaven." Don’t miss this chance to make a meaningful impact for people like José and Ana Maria, who are experiencing some of the biggest challenges of their lives. Make a gift to the Global Emergency Response Fund by October 7 and help reach our $80,000 goal! On behalf of the team in Colombia, and Mercy Corps emergency response teams all around the world — thank you for your support. Sincerely,
