Lies, nepotism, self-dealing, and blatant disregard for the law were all hallmark activities within the Trump administration. Even as Trump went on a pardoning spree in the final days of his presidency for his accomplices convicted of crimes, many of his potential crimes and that of his associates have so far evaded accountability.
We cannot allow Trump and his cronies to escape responsibility for any criminal lawbreaking they may have committed during his presidency!
Trump was caught on tape trying to rig an election; bribed foreign governments to extort information; potentially obstructed justice during the Mueller investigation; and solicited the aid of foreign governments in U.S. elections; and those are just the potential crimes we know about.
We can only expect that the crimes committed by Trump’s associates are just as egregious and worthy of further investigation.
If we are to begin the process of restoring the integrity of the Department of Justice and the rule of law to our nation, it is essential that the Department thoroughly investigate Trump’s actions and, where warranted and appropriate, hold accountable those who have violated the nation’s laws.
