My friend, Twenty years ago, a vile of insulin cost between $16 and $20. Today, it costs between $300 and $400. Minnesotans are scrambling to afford the doses they need to survive, and while I’m encouraged the House and Senate have both put forward proposals, we can’t afford to wait any longer. It’s time for Legislative leaders to come to the table, work out differences, and send a bill to my desk that holds pharmaceutical companies accountable and prevents more needless deaths. No one should be forced to go without lifesaving drugs, especially not one as common and essential as insulin. I’m ready to call a special session and sign a bill the moment it hits my desk. Help us keep the pressure on so we can get this done. Co-sign my letter to the Minnesota Legislature today. Thank you, Tim Walz |
