We've now run two very competitive races here in CA-49 -- first when we flipped this seat in 2018, and then again in 2020 when we defended it.

With your help we’ve been successful, but this year is going to present new, significant challenges: We're headed into a midterm election which history tells us will be tough for Democrats. And since we’re in a redistricting year, it’s very likely my district lines will change. That means we’ll have new voters to communicate with.

John, we're halfway through the month of April but our fundraising simply isn't where we need it to be. Giving $3 today will help us reach our goal so my team can make smart, strategic decisions for the rest of the month.

It’s been just over 100 days since my colleagues and I were sworn in to the 117th Congress. I’m very proud of what we’ve accomplished in such a short time: starting with the historic American Rescue Plan to get shots in arms and money in pockets -- to passing the For the People Act and the Dream and Promise Act.

Unfortunately the Republicans are taking note. Their leading Washington-based PAC recently announced they'll once again be targeting me in the 2022 election. It's only a matter of time before dark money attacks start flooding our district.
