Cutting emissions from Big Ag is critical to addressing runaway climate change. John, join our fight against corporate polluters. Together, we can change the narrative. Donate now!

John,

Giant meat and dairy companies like Smithfield and JBS, along with their well-paid lobbyists, have spent millions campaigning against climate action. Their goal is to maintain business as usual: rampant pollution and ineffective regulations.

Large agribusiness has been wantonly polluting our air and water for decades. Its factory farms and food processing plants have destroyed rivers, polluted land and endangered public health — especially in rural communities.

Food & Water Watch is fighting to force Big Ag companies to stop their lies, pollution and greenwashing. But we can only do this with your help.

Overall, animal agriculture is responsible for more than 14 percent of human-sourced greenhouse gas emissions globally. According to calculations by the advocacy group GRAIN and the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy (IATP), the five largest livestock-based producers combined — JBS, Tyson, Cargill, Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) and Fonterra — emitted more greenhouse gases than ExxonMobil!

Instead of actually cleaning up their act, these companies spend huge amounts of time and money downplaying the link between animal agriculture and climate change. This can’t continue!

Donate today to power our campaign against Big Ag and its dangerous factory farm practices.

Mega animal agriculture is sabotaging progress on climate change. These companies and their lobbyists fight climate regulation in Congress and at the Environmental Protection Agency. They’ve spun their own narrative downplaying animal agriculture’s role in climate change — a narrative made of dangerous half-truths, misconceptions and lies.

But with your support, we can stop Big Ag polluters and protect our communities by building back a better and more sustainable food system. Farmers are the foundation of a sustainable and equitable food system, and we need to right our food system so it’s fair for consumers, farmers, workers and rural communities. Together, we can — and will — save our communities from Big Ag and climate change!

Donate now to power our fight against Big Ag. Together, we can expose its dangerous practices and curb climate change!
