John,
On January 6, 2021, following months of continuous lies about the integrity and validity of the 2020 election, a violent mob of Americans stormed the U.S. Capitol in an attempt to disrupt Congress’ efforts to count the Electoral College votes.
This insurrection was an assault on our nation’s capital, and our democratic process.
Congress should take action now to investigate what happened that day and ensure that such an attack doesn’t happen again.
Add your name to show your support for the creation of a bipartisan commission to investigate the events of January 6, 2021.
Issue One has joined groups from across the political spectrum in urging congressional leaders to establish a bipartisan commission to explore more deeply what occurred on January 6th — examining the lead up to the attack and what could have been done to prevent it, as well as steps that can be taken to prevent future attacks.
Congress must not delay in creating a January 6th commission. We cannot allow another attack like this to happen again — in our nation’s capital or anywhere in our country.
Tell Congress to act NOW and create a bipartisan January 6th commission.
Your support is critical,
Nick Penniman Founder and CEO, Issue One
