John,
It has never been more clear that we have a white supremacy crisis in our country, and it's threatening Black and Brown lives. And it's on all of us on this team to act.
That is why today, Women's March is announcing an organizing partnership with United Vision for Idaho to root out far-right white supremacy and white nationalism across the country. And we're coming to you directly for your support, John.
We've witnessed an alarming rise in violent and poisonous white supremacist extremism that's dividing our country and threatening our democracy. We see examples in systems, like policing, and in specific instances such as the January 6 riot at the Capitol. So we're working with United Vision for Idaho to begin a deep organizing program that focuses on having 1:1 conversations with women to confront, understand, and ultimately end white supremacy.
John, this is one of the most ambitious projects that Women's March has taken on since our founding in 2017, and we know this work won't be easy — and it will likely be expensive to accomplish. But we know that with your help, we can fully-fund this meaningful organizing work to transform our country and begin to combat the white supremacy that's been standing in the way of a feminist future that works for all of us.
We need you to be a big part of this work, John, which means it's important that you know exactly how we're planning to take on a task as complex and urgent as this one. Here's what we'll do:
We're confident that this work, funded to its full potential, will make a real difference — because it already has. United Vision for Idaho has already made important progress in dismantling hate across rural communities and the Pacific Northwest using these same methodologies. Now, with your help, we want to take this work nationwide. Can you chip in anything you can to help make that happen?
Keep fighting,
Women’s March
P.S. The deadly January 6 riot at the Capitol was just one example of why we need to begin this deep organizing effort to dismantle white nationalism — but we know this upcoming work will be expensive to fund. Will you donate to support this program today? Every donation will help us send more texts, have more conversations, and train more volunteers.
