It means the world to me and my team to be earning so much support this early in our campaign launch.

Last year, just 333 votes kept Mike Garcia in office -- and this time, I know we can close that gap. We have strong relationships within our community, a consistent message of support for the needs of our friends and families, and plenty of time to plan and prepare.

This time around, we’re going to win. We just need to give this campaign everything we’ve got -- because we know from experience that it’ll be a close one.

Right now, we’re making plans for our budget for the next few months, and one of our biggest expenditures will be our first round of Facebook ads. But we’re already at a fundraising disadvantage -- Mike had an incredibly strong first quarter of 2021.

John, we have to get a big head start if we’re going to compete in the second quarter and beyond. That’s why I’m asking personally: Can you chip in $5 or any amount to help meet our April fundraising goals so we can get ads up on Facebook ASAP?
