2021 Rashbaum and Tiller Awards 

Each year, with your help, PRH honors two dedicated abortion care providers who have been steadfast in providing care in their communities. These honors have been bestowed in memory of our late board members, Dr. William K. Rashbaum and Dr. George Tiller.

Help us find  our next set of inspiring abortion care providers to honor at our Voices of Courage Benefit this Fall.

As an organization that aims to center those historically marginalized by policies, systems, and structure that impact access to abortion care, we value physician nominees who practice in areas most affected by anti-abortion policies and those who represent diversity in background and experience. 

About the Awards

The William K. Rashbaum, MD, Award is an achievement award honoring a physician who has provided abortion care and served as a mentor for their colleagues, residents, and medical students. Awardees are recognized as leaders in the reproductive health care community. Learn more about the award and submit a nomination. 

The George Tiller, MD, Award  honors a physician who, although in the early stages of their career, has taken significant action to protect and expand access to abortion care locally and/or nationally. Awardees are current providers and have overcome challenges to remain outspoken advocates. Learn more about the award and submit a nomination.

Our long tradition of celebrating abortion providers would not be possible without input from our community. More than ever before, we must recognize the contributions of our country’s frontline health care workers.
