Here's a smack from Toby's Nan for those indulging in self-pity.

In this article, Toby introduces you to one effect of mental fatigue
known by my Nan as the P.L.O.M.S. According to him, you either got
snapped out of it or slapped out of it.

A prepper's mental fatigue or self-pity can cause serious consequences
in a long-term crisis. Early intervention and management are crucial.

Toby writes, "Are you dealing with mental fatigue right now? I strongly
suspect family units and large groups are tired and fatigued. Know that
it is quite common. Many of you may think it's just you, but it's not.
There are many others who are overwhelmed with it all and have indeed
got a case of the P.L.O.M.S. Please share your stories in the comments.
Let's reassure each other that we are not alone."

I know I've had some P.L.O.M.S. myself, missing family and friends and
my old way of life. There've been a few moments in which Toby's Nan
would have probably given me a slap.  What about you?
