Happy Nari Diwas and Nepali New Year 2078!

The Adhikaar family would like to cordially invite you to (belated) Nari Diwas, our annual Women’s Day celebration, and also Nepali New Year 2078. Nari Diwas has been an event that we enjoy celebrating with dance, music, food, and community in person, but this year the event will be held virtually on our Facebook page, this Sunday, April 18th at 8:00 pm ET. We know that nothing can damper our spirits, so we’ll see you online! 

Every year, during this time of the year, the Nepali-speaking community comes together to celebrate one another,  the strength of women, our members, our achievements, and our fight for justice. We continue to celebrate our collective power in comradeship.   

Our theme for this year is “#ChooseToChallenge” where we’ll highlight our member leaders who are choosing to challenge every single day and creating waves in the community. You’ll hear from the nail salon, domestic worker and TPS member leaders on what they have planned for the rest of the year. During the event, we’ll also be soft-launching our sustainer drive to help us continue this necessary work.   

The program will be in Nepali language and with English subtitles. You won’t want to miss this!
