Let me introduce myself, friends -- I'm Malik Hubbard, the new interim Executive Director for the Ohio Democratic Party.

I've had the opportunity to work on campaigns across the country -- including here in Ohio. When I worked on Senator Sherrod Brown's Dignity of Work tour, I saw firsthand what happens when everyday workers from Iowa to New Hampshire, Nevada to South Carolina come together. That's especially true here in Ohio -- it happened all three times we sent Senator Brown to Washington and when we won the White House for President Obama -- TWICE. I want to take that same mission to our work to elect Democrats across the state up and down the ticket today and into the future

Our team reached out this week about potential anti-voter legislation Ohio Republicans are getting ready to put forward -- legislation that will make it harder for Ohioans across the state to vote in future elections. We had to start fighting back against this legislation right away, which is why we started our Ohio Voting Rights Legal Fund. And you all stepped up in a big way to help lay the groundwork for the challenges ahead.

We're prepared to fight this new Republican legislation every step of the way -- even if it means taking it to the courts.

But our work is only beginning. Playing defense in a state like Ohio is just as important as planning our offense. And Ohio Republicans have shown us they're ready to put up one hell of a fight to hold onto control of the Buckeye state.

They should get ready, because they haven't seen anything yet.

-- Malik
