At 2:30 PM Senator Ron Wyden, proudly serving the State of Oregon, and Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee and a member of Senate Energy and Natural Resources, will speak on our theme of “advancing justice and climate through public policy.” Senator Wyden has been a champion on a variety of issues including clean energy, natural resources, and voting rights.

At 3:30PM Congressman Alan Lowenthal, proudly serving California’s 47th District, will lead a plenary discussion on H.R.5845 - Break Free From Plastic Pollution Act of 2020. This bill sets forth requirements related to waste and recycling collection systems for a variety of products and materials, including plastics.

The day will conclude with our Policy Working Group Breakouts meeting at 4PM ET.
