The failed former president spent the weekend gathering with top Republicans and donors from around the country, where he made plans to try to take back Congress with new legions of Trump loyalists in 2022.
We know that when Donald Trump decides to support someone, he's not sending the best. He backs anyone who will throw their blind allegiance behind his radical policies -- and that means QAnon conspiracy theorists like Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and insurrectionist allies like Arizona Rep. Paul Gosar.
If Donald Trump has his way, the House and the Senate will flip red in 2022 and pave the way for his own comeback in 2024. Our country may not be able to survive that scenario.
