When we plan out our finances each month, we keep one important number in mind, John:

Our average donation each month ($22.46 is where we are right now in April ) helps us figure out what we can expect to bring in as we create the budget for next month.

Now, Suzan and our campaign manager are proud that our average contribution is just $22.46 -- it proves that this is a movement by and for the people of the 1st district and Washington state. We’re supported by folks who donate $5 or $50 because they know that it’s critical that we keep benefitting from Suzan’s leadership in Congress.

But here’s the kicker: Having a low average donation number also means that we need to receive more individual donations to meet our fundraising goals.

John, it’s my job to make sure that Team DelBene always has the funds we need to run a competitive campaign, one grassroots contribution at a time. In April, we need to raise $7,500 online, but even though we’re halfway through the month, we aren’t yet halfway to that fundraising goal.

We need to raise $762 by midnight tonight to stay on target with our April projections. That means we need just 34 folks to pitch in our average contribution amount or more -- and I know we can get there. Will you be one of those 34 donors right now?
