John,

For years, Reproaction has been at the front lines of abortion access, fighting against unnecessary barriers and restrictions. One of the biggest being the overregulation abortion pills.

Give today to increase access to safe and effective abortion pills.

Despite abortion pills being taken at home, FDA rules forced abortion seekers to meet in-person with a doctor in order to use abortion pills, a huge burden for many, especially low-income people, people who already have children, and immigrant communities.

Everyone deserves to have the abortion care they want and need when and where they choose.

That’s why we’re so thrilled to hear about the FDA suspending enforcement of its previous policy and allowing patients to access abortion pills without a required in-person visit to the doctor during the pandemic [1]. Not only will this help countless people, it will eliminate the dangerous risk of exposure to COVID-19, helping combat the spread of the pandemic.

Increasing access to abortion pills is long overdue. Help celebrate and work toward a long-range vision where people don’t need to go to the doctor to get abortion pills (it’s already happening just fine with self-managed abortion, duh!).

Sincerely,

Erin Matson
Executive Director, Reproaction

P.S. So much of our lives is delivered to our front door. Abortion should be no different.
