CLC is representing VoteAmerica, the Voter Participation Center and the Center for Voter Information in a lawsuit filed in federal district court in Georgia to block a new state law, S.B. 202. Among many other problems, the new law restricts the distribution of vote-by-mail applications to voters, a service that many voters rely upon.
S.B. 202 threatens to put up barriers to silence Georgia voters by limiting core political speech protected by the First Amendment.
To move forward together, we must ensure Americans can cast a ballot, so we are able to elect leaders who govern in our interests and make the promise of our democracy real for us all.
