Your support is critical to changing the world for animals.

The Amazon rainforest is burning.

This week, in an eye-catching demonstration in São Paulo, Brazil, Mercy For
Animals activists sent a powerful message: The world’s appetite for meat is
fueling the fires.

The United States is not immune from responsibility for these fires or from
their effects. After all, the United States is Brazil’s third-largest export
market.

Take action now [[link removed]]In response to the fires, lawmakers in Congress recently introduced federal
legislation that calls for an import ban on certain Brazilian products from
industries linked to the fires.

The bill, H.R. 4263, will have the greatest chance of success if more cosponsors
sign on.

Take action today by urging your representative to cosponsor this legislation.
