[ [link removed] ]Katie Porter for Congress
John,
Last June, Katie started Truth to Power PAC to create an avenue of support
for political candidates who would join her in Congress to stand up to
corporate special interests, lobbyists, and corrupt politicians—all while
unapologetically fighting for progressive values.
Truth to Power operates on the belief that Washington needs new leaders
who will be independent voices for change and fight to reform our
political system and economy. And in 2020, Katie and the Truth to Power
team were able to help send six new candidates to Congress: Cori Bush
(MO-01), Ben Ray Luján (NM-SEN), Ritchie Torres (NY-15), Jamaal Bowman
(NY-16), Mondaire Jones (NY-17), and Carolyn Bourdeaux (GA-07).
Now, Truth to Power is planning for upcoming elections in 2021 and the
midterms in 2022, taking time to build as much momentum as possible. And,
they’re facing their first fundraising deadline in the second quarter of
the year: the mid-month fundraising deadline, which is tonight at
midnight.
[ [link removed] ]Truth to Power is currently $2,430 away from reaching their $12,500
mid-month goal—and how much they’re able to raise will determine what sort
of investments can be made in the near future. So,
John, before midnight tonight,
