Team,

I wanted to send along my heartfelt thanks to all of my supporters for their help in reaching our filing deadline with the resources my team and I need to continue our push forward for progress for all.

I also wanted to take a moment to alert you to a proposal made by our Presidential Administration that has been troubling me.

The choice to cut an estimated 3 million people from the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program would, in turn, mean that a half-million students could lose access to free school meals.

These are students for whom food insecurity affects their lives every single day.

As a teacher, I worked with so many students who would likely have been affected by this decision, and I can tell you that children and students have enough to deal with. Learning is hard enough as it is, they should not have to add the burden of hunger to their worries.

Children in our schools should only have to worry about learning, not about where their next meal will come from.

This proposal is one step closer to taking effect, so I need your help now getting the word out that this is wrong and immoral. Add your name here. secure.ngpvan.com/1TFlmgpmf0i84EfjCVk7aA2
