John,

In a time when intersectionality seems to be a buzzword, what does it mean to bring people of color and the LGBTQ+ community together to identify similarities, understand differences, and build spaces that welcome all? What do PFLAG chapter leaders need to know to effectively do this work? What’s working and what are people missing? Importantly, how do these efforts and challenges look for young LGBTQ+ people of color?

On Saturday, October 26 at 9:00 AM, PFLAG National is honored and humbled to feature a panel presentation moderated by MoveOn.org Chief Public Affairs Officer, Karine Jean-Pierre to answer these questions--and more. Karine will be joined by Mateo De La Torre who serves as the Racial and Economic Justice Policy Advocate at the National Center for Transgender Equality (NCTE), Representative Malcolm Kenyatta who represents the 181st District in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, and Khudai Tanveer who serves as the Membership Organizer at the National Queer Asian Pacific Islander Alliance (NQAPIA) and is currently a student at Virginia Commonwealth University.
