John,

We’ve been emailing you about the challenges facing Democrats in 2021 and 2022, John. And it’s true, we should be wary of Republican efforts across the country to suppress Democratic turnout and re-draw favorable Congressional districts for themselves.

But it’s not all bad. If we work together the way we did in 2020, we can seize some huge opportunities for our party.

  • The 2022 Senate map looks good for Democrats – if we put in the work. In battleground states that President Biden won or nearly flipped, we have an opportunity to expand our Senate majority. States like Ohio, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin all have competitive Senate races.
  • Midterm elections – could be helpful to Democrats. Despite the history that shows the party controlling the White House tends to lose an average of 30 congressional seats in the midterms, President Biden and Vice-President Harris are polling off the charts! That’s good for vulnerable Democrats who are up for re-election in 2022.

The 2022 elections could go either way. Republicans know it – and we know it. That’s why they’ve already started working to build a massive network of megadonors who can help channel resources for Republicans to win back their majorities – and it’s why we need to step up and respond.

Please contribute anything you can afford before April’s mid-month fundraising deadline on Thursday at midnight.

The best thing we can do right now is ensure our incumbents have the resources they need to defend their seats.

You can help us do that.

Thanks,

Seth Moulton
