Akron DSA has some important updates! Continuing the momentum from our dynamic DSA for Nina Campaign Kickoff held last weekend, we will be holding our DSA for Nina Phone Bank this Saturday. Don't miss Nina Turner herself live tonight as she joins local labor leaders (some of whom you may recognize) in discussing worker power and the PRO Act.

Akron City Council is considering some small steps towards housing justice. Housing is a human right, so we are urging you to participate in our letter campaign in support of legislation on Source of Income Protections and Pay-to-Stay. We are also once again asking you to submit a public comment to Akron City Council saying you support this legislation.  

Akron DSA stands against police brutality. We demand justice for Charles Hicks and that the Akron Police Department be defunded and those funds reinvested in our community, social safety net programs, and mental health services. We'll provide updates about further ADSA actions around this issue soon. Our next general meeting is Thursday, April 22 at 7 PM!
