Our Work on Diversity and Inclusion

Recently, as part of our effort to address health disparities in cystic fibrosis and build a more inclusive community, the CF Foundation submitted comments to the National Institutes of Health on improving racial equity, diversity, and inclusion in research. The comments will be used to identify and implement policies, procedures, and practices to support greater diversity and inclusivity among medical professionals and researchers.

During National Volunteer Week, take some time for yourself at Gratitude Hour, an hour-long virtual event on Wednesday, April 21 at 7 p.m. ET. Speakers, including Travis Flores, an adult living with cystic fibrosis, and Brenda Jay, a mother of an adult with CF, will share how to reignite your purpose, find motivation, and show gratitude toward yourself and others.

The pandemic has been hard on many, including adolescents in the CF community.
