Too many leaders like Pelosi see politics as a struggle between individual
personalities. In reality, politics is a struggle about ideas and by
communities seeking representation and power. The voters who elected The
Squad deserve more respect.

Pelosi added that she prefers “operational” Democrats over “activist
members who stir up trouble in their own party." But it’s precisely those
activists who toiled away working on issues like the fight for a $15
minimum wage while other Democrats opposed it and bent the impossible into
the inevitable.
