Friends,
Last week GOP attorneys general tried their hardest to declare the Affordable Care Act unconstitutional and completely do away with this life-changing bill.
Our delegation had the chance to listen to Granite Staters share their stories about the ways the ACA has positively impacted their lives -- and why it is absolutely critical we defend access to affordable and accessible healthcare.
The ACA protects people with pre-existing conditions by making it illegal for insurance companies to discriminate against them, and there are more than 572,200 Granite Staters and 130 million Americans who have a pre-existing condition. If the GOP attorneys general were to get their way, insurance companies could deny, drop, or charge more for their coverage.
This is what we’re fighting against every day on our campaign -- and whenever we stand up to demand better care and coverage, members of the GOP who want me out of Washington pay even more attention.
They’ll hatch plans to make me out as someone I’m not and spread falsehoods about our campaign. I know the next election seems far away, but with local GOP operatives aggressively fundraising against me, we need to be ready for their attacks.
NH-01 is one of the most vulnerable Democratic-held seats in the country, and we’ve seen this seat flip four times in the past five elections. We need to hold this seat for the sake of protecting access to quality and affordable healthcare.
Thank you and talk soon,
Chris
