Dear John,
State legislatures across the country have decided attacking transgender youth is the most important thing they can do this session.
We know this is our opposition’s latest attempt to divide our movement and harm the LGBTQ community, all for political gain. But these anti-trans sports, medical, and bathroom bans cause actual harm to real kids.
This session has been so extreme that our rapid response fund is running low, and we have so much work left to do. Help us raise $10,000 so we can make 11,000 calls to ask supporters to contact their legislators.
8 anti-LGBTQ bills have already been signed into law, and dozens more are making their way to governors’ desks. We have to do everything we can to stop even more bans from becoming law and hurting our young people.
We need to make phone calls to these state senators, representatives, and governors because we know once people hear stories of the trans youth in their communities, they find it much harder to enact laws that harm them. But we can’t do this without you.
Right now, we are directing money to make calls in Florida, Oklahoma, and West Virginia, states that are on the precipice of enacting anti-trans sports and medical care bans. These aren’t the only states that need our help.
Louisiana, Missouri, Tennessee, and Texas are all facing at least 4 anti-LGBTQ bills, some even facing up to 35 of these bills.
We are asking for your support in helping us raise $10,000 so we can make 11,000 calls to ask supporters to contact their legislators in these key states.
We won’t let these malicious attacks be the only message these kids receive. We have to fight for them.
Please join us and donate to let lawmakers know trans kids are loved, protected, and belong.
Thank you for all you do,
Fran Hutchins
