Hi, it’s Senator June Robinson —
This legislative session I had the privilege of working alongside my Senate colleagues to craft a historic $59.2 billion budget in my role as the Vice-Chair of the Senate Ways and Means Committee. I am thrilled to share that this legislation passed out of the Senate and will build a stronger Washington with crucial investments in areas like public health and education.
Democrats took immediate action during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic to support Washingtonians — because of this responsible leadership, Washington’s economy is doing better than any other state.
The provisions in our new state budget are huge steps to continue building up our economy for all.
The most important component of crafting this landmark budget was listening to the needs of Washingtonians, like you, across the state.
Now that the budget has passed, we’d like to know what part of the budget will be most impactful for you. Will you take the Senate Democrats’ survey by midnight tomorrow?
This budget provides the tools we all need to recover and create a more equitable state in the years ahead. It covers areas like education, public health, police reform, climate resiliency, childcare, and so much more.
I appreciate you providing your input on such an important piece of legislation.
