You might think that Republican insurrectionists like Senator Josh Hawley and Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene — who joined Donald Trump in trying to overturn the election and inciting the January 6 attack at the U.S. Capitol — would be facing political consequences for their actions.

You would be wrong.

Hawley and Greene each announced raising over $3 million in the first quarter of 2021. Trumpism is alive and well in the Republican Party — and will be well-funded in 2022.

If we're going to protect our democracy and achieve real progress for the American people, we cannot let our guard down. We need to be ready to fight off attacks from these deep-pocketed extremists and others.

That's why today, I'm reaching out to ask you to consider making a contribution to support our campaign. Every contribution will make a difference toward reaching our mid-month fundraising goal at midnight tonight:

Last weekend my wife and I watched a new documentary on the January 6th insurrection and the rise of militant right-wing groups over the last four years.

It was chilling and sobering — and underscored that while we won a historic victory in the last election, our job is not done. In many ways it is just beginning.

We can do this.

Anything you can contribute today will make a difference as we prepare to meet the challenges ahead. Please consider making a contribution to our campaign before midnight:
