Our volunteers just met with U.S. senators to demand background checks now.

Moms Demand Action

John, we made it.

After traveling more than 16,000 miles, and making more than 75 stops in 23 states, our volunteers arrived in Washington, D.C. today to deliver letters and murals demanding action on background checks from the U.S. Senate.

Support the Road Trip for Background Checks by sending a message to your U.S. senators today: Demand background checks now.

Our volunteers arrived in Washington, D.C. today to demand action on background checks from the U.S. Senate.

The Road Trip for Background Checks has shown our lawmakers not just how powerful our movement is, but also how popular background check legislation is with the American public. At stops along seven different routes nationwide, a bipartisan group of volunteers, gun violence survivors, gun owners, veterans, faith leaders, and elected leaders decorated a mural and collected personal stories, photos of loved ones killed by gun violence, and letters to Congress. And today, they delivered those items to U.S. Senators Chris Murphy and Richard Blumenthal in Washington, D.C.

John, the Road Trip for Background Checks sent a clear message to the U.S. Senate: We need action now.

Now, help us make sure that our lawmakers listen to the demands of the American public: Tell your U.S. senators to pass background checks now.

Thank you for being a part of this movement, and for supporting this amazing, cross-country event.
