We have some good news and some bad news.
The good news is our gun violence memorial on the National Mall has gained a lot of positive attention. We placed over 40,000 flowers to represent the number of Americans who die from gun violence each year. People from around the country signed up to dedicate flowers to loved ones who have lost their lives.
The bad news is even though our gun violence memorial has created national attention, we are still waiting on the Senate to bring background checks to the floor for a vote, and we need your support to get this legislation passed.

April is an important month for us, because in the coming weeks we expect the Senate to vote on background checks.
But until then, we will continue to do the work and push them to take action. Because taking action means saving lives — and to us there’s nothing more important.
