John, D.C. statehood isn’t about politics -- it’s about equal representation.

And we’re well on our way to making D.C. the 51st state:

Here’s the deal: House Democrats passed D.C. statehood JUST last year. But, Mitch McConnell STOPPED it in the Senate -- but this time around WE have the Senate majority!!

This is our moment to make D.C. statehood a REALITY.

That’s why we’re calling on 10,000 of our supporters to OVERWHELM Congress with support today. Can we count on you to sign on to demand Congress make D.C. a state NOW?

D.C. has a population of more than 700,000 people -- larger than some states. But, the District currently has ZERO Senators and ZERO voting members of Congress.

That’s just WRONG! But, Republicans are holding the District back out of FEAR. They know that D.C. statehood would DESTROY their Party.

D.C. statehood means we’ll have TWO new Democratic Senators. John, that’s enough to HOLD the Senate!!!

It ALSO means we’d have the power to make real progressive change -- like universal healthcare and a tax code where their super rich, mega-donors have to pay their fair share!
