Hi folks! This is an RSVP-only teleconference on April 17 at 10 AM. By 3 pm this Friday you must RSVP HERE at this link. If you registered previously you will receive a reminder with the Zoom meeting link. Any problems email: [email protected]. . This week, several of the Bad Bills of 2021 will be debated at crucial, little-seen Sacramento virtual hearings. Bills including SB 9, SB 290 and AB 1322 pave over communities, from working-class to well-off, to jam in dense luxury housing that harms the environment, affordability and livability.
Join us in fighting legislators who are AGAIN piecemealing the horrific SB 50 by state Sen. Scott Wiener that we all killed in January last year. SB 50 lives on, in the Bad Bills of 2021. We invite YOU to virtually testify against SB 9, SB 290 and AB 1322 on Thurs. April 15. This link takes you to our page on how to be called on. It will be fun yet maddening!
Then, join us on April 17 at 10 a.m. for a fascinating chat about the Bad Bills of 2021 that recreate Wiener’s SB 50, and how we can kill them. (And support the Good Bills.)
On Saturday, we’ll discuss how to understand and target legislators regarding:
By the end of Saturday’s teleconference, you’ll have a PhD in What’s Gone Wrong in the Capitol. You’ll meet friends across California who have Zooms and calls with their legislators and can share with you how to jump in.
If this your first teleconference, please RSVP NOW HERE at this link. You must RSVP by 3 pm this Friday. We prefer organized groups who are willing to meet with their legislators, but singles are fine too!
We ask that you DONATE today, and we thank you so very much!
Livable California is a non-profit statewide group of community leaders, activists and local elected officials. We believe in local answers to the housing affordability crisis. Our robust fight requires trips to Sacramento & a lobbyist going toe-to-toe with power. Please donate generously to LivableCalifornia.org here.
