Today (April 15) is Take a Wild Guess Day, which seems kind of dumb because who wants to celebrate willingly adding more ambiguity and randomness to their life? But I guess it’s better than celebrating Tax Day (now COVID-deferred to July 15 if you need the extra time). I’m still in Costa Rica, so here’s something for you to guess: Where am I in this picture? (Answer is below.)

Lisa Anderson

Anyway, for those of us who are in Christ, there’s one thing we don’t need to wonder about or guess at: our eternity. Christ has already guaranteed our place in God’s family. We are heirs! Because of this, we have confidence to live life in lavish love for and service to others. Our future is secure; we don’t need to grasp at success or wealth or position. This week’s show interview with J.D. Greear is a good reminder of that. So guess at whatever else you want to today, but rest in God’s good promises for your life.

Answer: The top of Volcano Poás. There’s a huge crater and sulfur lake below me in those clouds.
